Praise…

We continue to give thanks for the opportunity of serving at the Sendai Izumi Evangelical Free Church church planting project, alongside Larry/Bella Mori (ReachGlobal – EFC of America international mission).

Requests…

We are exploring a few tsunami ministry opportunities, all of which could provide opportunities for short term missionaries to join us:

  • starting a quilting circle on May 23 in the apartment of a tsunami displaced family living nearby a temporary housing center in Wakabayashi-ku, Sendai
  • holding mother and young children meetings once or twice a month in another temporary housing center also in Wakabayashi-ku, Sendai
  • helping farmers in Iwanuma-shi cleanse their fields of seawater salt, test their fields and vegetables for radiation levels, and construct a distribution facility for their produce.

Ask the Lord to give us wisdom to develop this compassion ministry in such a way that the hope of Jesus Christ and his gospel might be clearly proclaimed to those whose lives have been devastated by the tsunami waves of Mar 11, 2011.
