bringing the love and hope of Jesus Christ to tsunami devastated northeastern coastal Japan

In view of the March 11/2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami, the Asia Region of the Evangelical Free Church of Canada Mission (EFCCM) has launched a disaster response ministry.

Some coastal Pacific Ocean towns in northeastern Japan are reporting a 20% suicide rate among tsunami displaced people.

We are trying to show the love of Christ (recovery ministry) and proclaim the hope of Christ in the gospel (church planting ministry) to victims of the tsunami waves who are now living in Sendai or south of the city.

This tsunami recovery ministry is taking place throughout 2012, led by Dale and Ann Little in Sendai city.

Our distinctives include:

  • Gospel centered
  • Evangelical Free Church family focus
  • Local leadership
  • International cooperation
